Bohdi

Jockey Club racing name Lil Capo Caddy, Bohdi was born in 2015 and is a Level 3B-4D school horse. Bodhi has a sweet, surfer boy personality and his favorite treat is Twizzlers.  Bohdi is a 16.3hand, bay Thoroughbred gelding.

Pie

Fool's Gold, barn name "Pie" was born in 2005 and is a Level 2A - Level 4D school horse.  He has been teaching lessons to youth since 2013.  Pie has qualified and gone to the United States Pony Club Eventing National Championships two times since he has been a school horse.  Pie is a big goofball and loves to put EVERYTHING in his mouth.  Pie is a 14.3hand, palomino Quarter Horse gelding.

Reo

Reo is a 2001, Paint/QH piebald gelding.  Reo has spent many years showing and helping young riders to learn to jump before coming to Leg Up in June of 2023 to join our team.  Reo is super sweet and patient with his young riders.  He teaches riders in Levels 1-2C.

Mickey

Mickey is a 2000 buckskin Quarter Horse gelding.  Mickey formerly evented through Training.  He spent many years as a Pony Club horse and is now doing Level 1-2C lessons.  

Dean

Jockey Club racing name Devious Wish was born in 2000 and is a Level 2C - Level 4D school horse.  He has been teaching lessons to youth since 2014.  Dean is sensitive kind of guy, but he is quite a fun, athletic jumper to ride.  Dean is a 15.3hand, bay Thoroughbred gelding with a star.

Apollo

Apollo is a pinto cross that came to us with a background in trail riding.  He has discovered his LOVE of cross country jumping and is currently teaching riders Level 3A through Pony Club/showing.

Tate

A Worthy Battle, known as "Tate" in the barn, is a 2009 dappled grey, Arab-Holsteiner gelding.  Tate has been a Pony Club mount for many years and has evented through Beginner Novice.  Tate is keenly aware of his surroundings at all times and will let his rider know if there are ANY changes in the environment, such as the instructor drawing circles in the sand of the arena (which he hates)- LOL!  Tate is the "Fabio" of the stable, all who see him comment on how "pretty" he is.  Tate teaches riders Level 1B-4.

Ferguson "Fergie"

Fergie is a 1999 Morgan cross, liver chestnut gelding.  He spent many years doing show hunters and 4-H. He is also a very good trail horse.  He has a great rhythmical trot and very much loves his young riders.  He teaches Level 1 lessons.

Cisco

Cisco is a 2001 bay Morgan gelding.  Cisco is a super fun forward ride.  He loves to do dressage and jump both in the arena and on the cross country course.  Cisco smiles for cookies!  Cisco is teaching riders Levels 3-4.

Koda

Jockey Club name Madelyn's All, Koda is a 2012 chestnut Thoroughbred gelding.  Koda is a quiet ride.  He loves to do dressage and jump both in the arena and on the cross country course.  Koda also smiles for cookies, but he doesn't like peppermints or apples, just cookies and carrots!  Koda is teaching riders Levels 1B-3A.

Argo

Argo, a bay, off-the-track-thoroughbred gelding is a rescue that came to us in 2023.  Although much of his history is unknown, he is a sweet, curious young guy with a bright future ahead of him.  We are currently working to get him back to a proper weight while bringing back his fitness to allow him to begin his training to become a school horse.  Argo has started doing Level 3A and above classes.

Duke

Duke is an Arab/Morgan cross, bay gelding.  Duke (formerly known as Pilgrim) came to us in November 2022 from the local  equine rescue, Little Patch of Heaven.  Duke is teaching our Level 1-4 riders.

Topper

Topper is a 2011 bay Anglo/Arab gelding.  Topper is green, but enjoying learning to canter and jump.  Topper is currently being used in special "Green horse training" lessons right now.

Porter

United States Eventing Association show name of Coming in Hot, Porter is an Eventing super star.  Before coming to Leg Up he had previously competed extensively at Preliminary level in California.  As a 2005 model, he is enjoying a slower lifestyle with us teaching his riders the ropes of Eventing at the Beginner Novice and Starter levels.  Porter teaches riders Levels 3-4.
