Our PURPOSE

Bruce and Kids Goofy KyHP.jpg

To empower and inspire the people of our community, especially youth, through the Art of Horsemanship.

Our WHY
Norman Aisle 1.jpg

In our turbulent, fast paced world, we are putting ourselves and our children in a perpetually rushed state, a place where we are all in a state of chronic stress and experience a host of physiological symptoms that are harmful to our minds and bodies. This stress response is the breeding ground for worry and anxiety.

As we hurry about, there is little or no time to take in the world around us; life literally becomes a blur of activity that we aren’t able to be present with or enjoy. We become perpetual motion machines, convinced that doing is more valuable than being. Yet, it is the "stillness between the notes that gives music its beauty." In the rush of activity, there is no opportunity to integrate our life experiences. Precious moments and memories slip like sand through our fingers because we couldn’t take a moment to stop and be present.

Our quality of life suffers.  Our friendships suffer.  Our connection to who we truly are as humans suffers.

Let our horses help.

Our VISION
IMG_5791.heic

We believe in a world where horses allow the members of our community to live in the present moment, feel grounded in nature and friendship, are focused and learning through hands-on interactive real world experiences with horses.

Our ACTION
Norman.jpg

Through weekly group lessons, either purchased directly or sponsored, members of our community will join our 10-16 week mounted/unmounted equine educational curriculum sessions to develop life skills through learning the art of horsemanship.

  • 10-16 week mounted/unmounted horsemanship classes

  • Program fees are paid or sponsored by donors for the students (coming soon)

  • Follow a published curriculum for skills development

Testimonials

You created an outlet that gave me some of my greatest friends and memories.

Throughout our childhoods you have empowered us, inspired us, and taught us that we can accomplish anything we setour minds to.

The lesson ended, but the experience never did. I will forever remember feeling free, and knowing that I made that happen. Now I know that with determination, and grit, anything can happen. And sometimes, when I ride, I remember that moment. And when I remember that, I will always know, you can do anything. You just have to try.

Riding here meant growing up surrounded by a group of people who made me feel seen heard and valued.

Thank you for creating such a positive and nurturing environment in the stables where we could all escape the daily pressures and awkwardness of life as a middle/high schooler.
